PROYECTOS RECIENTES:

Hemos sido bendecidos por el equipo de misiones de Hillside Church en N.Y. el pasado agosto. Antes de llegar, ellos hicieron las cortinas para todas las ventanas de El Refugio… este fue un gran proyecto! Mientras estaban en el Refugio, instalaron los ganchos y colgaron todas las cortinas. El equipo llevo a cabo “una fiesta comun de cumpleaños” para los niños, con marionetas, pintura de cara, globos de animales y bizcocho. Los niños estaban emocionados. Algunas mujeres del equipo pasaron el dia mimando a las mujeres del albergue con masajes, pedicuras, manicuras y tiempo de oracion con ellas. El equipo pudo instalar un techo en el patio trasero el cual añadio un espacio muy necesitado, para el tiempo de la comida. Ha sido una maravillosa extensión, especialmente durante la temporada de lluvia que hemos pasado. Estamos muy agradecidos por el gran trabajo y corazón de servicio de este equipo.

RECENT MINISTRY PROJECTS:

We were blessed the missions team from Hillside Church in NY this August. Before arriving, they sewed curtains for all of the windows in El Refugio... that was a big project! While at the shelter, they installed curtain rods and hung all the curtains. The team threw a "community birthday part" for the children, complete with puppets, face painting, balloon animals, and cake. The kids were thrilled! Several women from the team spent a day pampering the women at the shelter with manicures, pedicures, massage, and a time of prayer for them. The team was also able to put up a roof over the back patio, which provided a much-needed additional dining area. It has been a wonderful addition, especially during one of the "rainiest" rainy seasons we've seen. We are so grateful for the great work and servant hearts of this team!
